Christmas in July

Christmas in July is the challenge this week over at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. It's funny because I was just having thoughts of what to do for my Christmas cards this year. This is my first attempt at a final design. This stamp set from SU is still one of my favorites for the holiday. I bought it mainly for this tree stamp.
The green is actually old olive but it is coming out in the picture so green. Still looks good though. Teehee.

I hope you all are having a great day!
I'll be working on my tutorial tomorrow. ~:0)
Check in on Sunday to see what it's about.

Thanks for caring

Hey guys, my family and I are heading down to Georgia for my nephews baptism. The card and gift I am giving him are posted a few posts back. I am scheduling this to post so there is something new for you to look at while I am away. This card was made for a sketch challenge over at Paper Therapy. I put some dazzling diamonds on the leaves and it looks so pretty IRL. It's always nice to have a thank you card on hand.

Thanks for popping in. I hope you have a great weekend!

*** Thanks for all of your compliments on this card. It's been a very long drive back from Georgia and they made my day! To answer your questions about the flowers... I have a little secret to share. They aren't stamps, they aren't rub ons or embellishments of any kind. I cut them out from the paper itself. The paper is from Stampin Up! It is from the occasions mini that ended in April. So it is no longer avail. So sorry guys...

SSC Challenge

Hi guys!! Today's card is made for the challenge over at SSC. This week the challenge is all about ice cream. Make a project using your favorite ice cream colors. Well... for me that would have to be chocolate and peanut butter. I LOVE anything with that combination in ice cream. My absolutely favorite is the peanut butter cup perfection at Cold Stone. Yummmmm

Give this challenge a try! It was so fun. ~:0)

Mojo Sketch!

Last night I went to my first ever scrap club! It was great and the ladies are all so fun. I have been in stamp clubs before. But they always expected you to buy something and you usually made a card off of someone else's idea.

I really enjoyed just being able to work on whatever project I wanted and no pressure to buy. Just a sharing of ideas and girl talk! How fun is that?

This is a card I did during the club. It is based off of this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I must make a note that the cute shape of the squares was taken from Mary's blog post here. Thanks for the tip Mary! ~:0)

Hope everyone is having a great week! Thanks for stopping by.

Baptism Time Capsule

This gift ensemble is for my Nephews Baptism. The can is a Baptism time capsule. It is filled with a wood cross, 20 note cards & envies, matching pen. The idea is that every guest write the baby a little note and place it in the can. The can can then be opened on the baby's first sacrament which for Catholics is their First Reconciliation.

I thought this is was a cute and thoughtful gift idea. Perfect for the God Mother to give as a gift! :) Hope you enjoyed this project. If you have any questions on technique or product please feel free to email me.

Hope you are all having a great day! As always thank you for spending some of your time with me.

Crop challenge cards

Hey guys!! Today I would like to share with you the cards I made during our all day crop over at Paper Therapy yesterday. It was such a blast! We played games, made cards, challenged ourselves, and gave away prizes. It was a fun time had by all.

This cutie patootie strawberry card was made for a challenge where you have to make a shaped card. No square, rectangles aloud. So... I pulled out my nesties and got to work. It turned out to be one of my favorites.

This card was made for a sketch challenge. I love using those SU brads every chance I get. The silver balls were a last decision and I am glad I added them. The balloons were cut out and popped up with dimentionals.

This pretty little thing was a technique challenge. The challenge was to make the flower out of paper. "Out of paper!!" can't believe how beautiful these things are.

We crafted away into the evening hours chatting and laughing. Be sure to get in on the next one. I'll give you plenty of notice.

Thanks for stopping by!

Target Mailbox & More!

Hey TGIF Peeps! I have allot of info to share with you today.
First, this coming Sunday July 11th there will be an ALL DAY CROP over at Paper Therapy. Challenges and prizes await you all. So be sure to mark your calendars for July 11th. Crop starts at 9:00 am Est.

Also on Sunday my Sunday tutorials return! Yippee. You wont want to miss this Sunday's tutorial. It's been a popular request by all of you.

Last but not least is this adorable Target mailbox. This mailbox is one of those Target dollar bin mailboxes. And I have decorated it using darling papers from SU. Along with some ribbon, rhinestones, and scallops. A girl can never go wrong with a little bling & scallops! LOL

This Target mailbox was made for my Mom. Her company is donating some interior design time for a silent auction. She asked me to make something cute to put her certificate in. Which is why I used these cute papers from Su with the little houses on them. And of course the mailbox says "home" all by itself! Finally I added some hearts to go along with the theme "Home is where the heart is".

I hope to see you all this Sunday!! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend. ~:0)

Mojo Challenge

Hey everybody! I hope you are having a great day. Today I have a Mojo Monday sketch challenge to share with you. I flipped the sketch and this is my take on it. This is going to be my husbands bday card this month. ~:0)

How is your summer going? Can you believe we are into July already? I mean this summer is blazin by! Our heat index is really high here in the midwest. Up past 100. Pool days here we come!

Speaking of my pool... we had a leak yesterday. Yikes. Of course it happens when I am home all by myself. It was a leak in one of the hoses. You should have seen me trying to change it out by myself. Luckily my neighbor came out and I was able to literally call for help. Imagine me holding 2 hoses in one hand trying to unscrew the fastener with the other and blocking the leak with my knee! Not good. But it's (hopefully) all fixed and I am refilling the pool today. We lost about an inch of water.

Anyway... I hope you are having a fun summer day. Thanks for stopping by!

All supplies are Stampin Up!
Please feel free to email me any questions on technique or products used.

Hey everybody! Today I would like to share with you a challenge card I made for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge blog. The challenge this week over at SSC is to make an aperture creation. Which is a hole somewhere in the front of your card. My hole is in the shape of a heart. And then I filled my heart with candy!! Oh Joy!!

This was a really fun project! If you have yet to try one of SSC's challenges, this week would be a great one to start with. As there is a really great prize from MFT.

Thanks for popping in. I wish you all a great week!!
