Sweet Birdie

TGIF everybody! I have joined in a birthday card group. Where over 30 ladies make each other birthday cards when it is their special day. Can you imagine receiving 30 home made birthday cards from all over the world? How awesome is that?! With that said I better get working on some birthday cards. Here is one of them. I love this stamp set by Verve. Infact I bought all of her birdie stamp sets. Paper is all Making Memories 6X6 pad. I used my SU water color markers and a ribbon from my stash. Thanks for looking!

Hi, happy weekend! Usually when I create a card I work from a sketch. Whether it is mine or from another paper crafter I enjoy creating this way. However with this card my mojo was on and I went with it. And whola' this is what I came up with. Stamps are Verve, cardstock and ribbon are SU, PP is K&Co. Thanks for looking!

Yep! Another Valentine card. Actually I made 14 of these for a card swap. I sure hope the girls like their cards. PP is K&Co, Stamp is a combo of Verve and K&Co it's actually 3 stamps! K&Co is the heart and Verve is the curly on each side. Ribbon I picked up at Michael's.

This valentine was made for my husband. All stamps are Verve except the middle heart which is K&Co. Papers are all K&Co. I'm not sure if I like this or not yet. It's a tad bit busy for me. What do you think?

My Love

Oooo Valentine's! How fun they are to make. Everything pink, pretty, and girlie! Right up my alley. And exactly what I am "into" right now. That was the theme of the weekly challenge over at with my Paper Therapy friends. I created this card using all of my favorite things. Pink, scallops, embossing, and as always ribbon! The papers are from K&Co new Valentine PP pack. Nestabilities for the scallops. K&Co again for the stamp.

Well after having so much fun with my last color challenge I decided to take part in an all night crop challenge over at There were 3 challenges in all.

The first challenge was to emboss something on your card. Here is what I came up with.

Emboss Challenge

The second challenge was a little tricky. The challenge was to use 6 embellishments on your card. The 6 embellishments I used were Ribbon, Fiber, Tag, Brads, Gem, Flowers. Here is my submission.

6 Embellie Challenge

Fot the final challenge we were to use an element that we would normally use in a scrapbook LO. Something we normally would not use on a card. This was the toughest challenge for me. I decided to use borders, picture frame, phrases, and staples. Here is my card.

Use a scrapbook element challenge

All in all it was a blast sharing some good ol' craft time with friends. Even tho most of us were miles away from each other. Isn't the internet awesome? Hope you enjoyed seeing my creations. Next time you come across a challenge and think ... maybe. Go ahead! Have fun with it!

I've never done any kind of a challenge before. But decided to give it a try. So I joined in the Color Inspiration challenge. This is what I came up with. You can only use the colors in the palette. This was so fun!

Happy 2009! I hope your holiday's were wonderful. Today I am sharing a birthday card I made using my new Verve stamps. Isn't she a fabulous birdie? I am new to clear stamps and it takes a little getting used to. Especially for inking. I used stazon ink because it's the only black ink I have. However I don't like it with clear stamps. Anyone have a clue to what ink works great with clear stamps? Please share!
